This piece was painted live during the Month of the Military Child event at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California.
Created in real time while surrounded by families and children, this work celebrates resilience, creativity, and the joy of artistic connection. Watching kids light up as the painting came to life was the heart of the experience—and a reminder of why I do what I do.
For this special holiday event at Fort Irwin, I had the opportunity to be involved in every part of the celebration—from helping decorate the massive tree to creating a live painting inspired by the night’s festivities. Surrounded by lights, music, and families, I captured the heart of the event in real time as the scene unfolded. This project highlights my love for collaborative, community-driven art and the joy of transforming a moment into a memory on canvas.
